Meet Max, our developer and infrastructure specialist, and the colleague who feels at home in the places most people would rather avoid: server configurations, DNS records and log files. Max is half developer and half IT specialist, and that combination is exactly what makes him so valuable. He writes the code for an integration and also knows exactly where it should run, how it stays securely reachable and what happens when traffic suddenly doubles. A Shopify store runs on the platform itself, but everything around it has to live somewhere: the middleware that ties an ERP to the store, the backend behind an app, and the domains and email that have to be right in one go at launch. That foundation is Max's territory. He sets up hosting that grows with the business, configures monitoring that raises the alarm before a customer notices anything, and arranges backups you never have to go looking for, but that are there when it counts. The biggest compliment for his work? That nobody notices it. If everything simply runs, loads fast and stays reachable, Max has done his job.
