Design
Store design that earns its keep in conversion, not in compliments.

Design for an online store has a job: getting someone from arriving to ordering with as little friction as possible. That is a research question before it is an aesthetic one.
We start with how your customers actually shop: what they compare, what they doubt, where they drop out. Then we design from there. The result still looks good, but that is a consequence, not the goal.
Why Codemaker-S?
Research before pixels
We look at your analytics, your customer service inbox and your competitors before we design. Most conversion problems are already visible in data you have.
Designed to be built
Our designers and developers work side by side, so every design is one we can actually ship. What you approve in Figma is what goes live.
A system, not a set of screens
You get a component library rather than a pile of page designs, so your store stays consistent as it grows.
“We hugely appreciate how hard Codemaker-S worked. They were still going on the Sunday before our launch to get the last details right. After going live they even came round to celebrate, with VA Imaging cake and champagne.”
How we work
Research & UX
Analytics / Audience / Competitors
We analyse how your customers currently shop and where they drop out, and turn that into a structure and a customer journey.
Wireframes & flow
Structure / Journey / Testing
We design the flow before the visuals, because that is where conversion is decided. You see the logic before you see the styling.
Visual design & system
Brand / Components / Handover
We design the visual language and build it into a component library your team and ours can keep working with.

Frequently asked questions
You probably have questions about Shopify as a platform, or about how we work at Codemaker-S. Not finding yours? Give us a call, or leave your details and we'll come back to you.
It depends on the number of unique page types and whether UX research is needed; a redesign of an existing store is cheaper than a design from scratch. Design is normally part of a build project, which runs € 3,000 to € 15,000. You get a fixed quote after an intake.
Yes, and deliberately in one team. Designs handed over between agencies lose detail and gain compromises. Because our designers and developers sit together, what you approve is what ships.
Yes. Plenty of clients arrive with a brand book and need it translated to an online store rather than reinvented. If the guidelines run out halfway, as they often do for e-commerce specifics, we extend them in your brand's direction.
We do not, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling something. What we do is start from evidence: your analytics, your drop-off points, established patterns. Then we measure after launch and keep adjusting.
When the budget and the question justify it. For most stores, the analytics and the customer service inbox already contain more actionable signal than a small test round would produce. We say which one applies to you.
A component library and page designs in Figma, plus the reasoning behind the structure. Not a PDF that gets filed away: a system your team can build campaign pages from without breaking consistency.

No credit card. No sales pitch. We look the way a customer does: we fill nothing in and order nothing.

A real browser loads your site the way a visitor does. Everything you see next is measured on your site, not estimated.
Conversion is structure, not decoration
Most stores lose orders on navigation, filtering and the steps before checkout, not on colour choices. That is why we design the structure first and the styling second, and why our wireframe phase is the one that changes the numbers.
Design that survives contact with the CMS
A design is only as good as what still stands after six months of your team adding products and campaigns. A component system keeps that consistent, which is why we deliver one instead of a set of one-off page designs.
Accessible by default
Contrast, focus states, keyboard navigation and proper semantics are design decisions, not development chores. Since the European Accessibility Act came into force they are also a legal requirement for most stores.
