From Zilver CMS to Shopify
Zilver CMS has come to a standstill: the platform's own website is already gone. We move your store to Shopify at a moment you choose rather than a forced one, with your data, your custom work and your rankings fully along.

For years Zilver CMS was a solid Dutch choice for serious web shops: back office and storefront in one system, with room for custom work. But the platform is no longer being developed, and its own domain now hosts a CMS comparison site. If you run on Zilver, the question is not whether a move is coming, only when and where to.
And precisely because Zilver stores often carry years of custom work, integrations and order history, this is no copy-paste migration. It is a move you want to do well once: onto a platform that does have a future, without losing the functionality your store runs on.
Why Codemaker-S?
Custom work moves along
A configurator, customer-specific pricing or a back-office integration: we map what your store actually uses and rebuild it on the Shopify APIs, instead of quietly dropping it.
Recognised Shopify specialists
Everything we do revolves around Shopify. We know the platform inside and out, from themes to API integrations. That is what our official Shopify Partner status stands for.
SEO preservation first
A Zilver store often has years of accumulated rankings. We map your URL structure completely, set up 301 redirects and guard your rankings around the launch.
“Marco and the team helped me well. Quick to respond, and my new store was delivered SEO-proof! Thanks again.”
Clients rate Codemaker-S 5.0 out of 5, based on public reviews on Google and Sortlist.
How we work
Zilver audit
Data / Custom work / SEO
We analyse your store: products, customers, orders, the custom work and integrations you actually use, and your URL structure. You get a concrete migration plan with a fixed price and schedule.
Build & migration
Theme / Data migration / Custom work
We build your new store in Shopify, migrate products, customers and order history in a structured way, and rebuild the custom work your store needs on the Shopify APIs.
Redirects & launch
301 redirects / Testing / Aftercare
Every old URL gets a 301 redirect, we reconnect payment methods and reviews, test the full ordering flow and switch over at a quiet moment.
Frequently asked questions
You probably have questions about Shopify as a platform, or about how we work at Codemaker-S. Not finding yours? Give us a call, or leave your details and we'll come back to you.
Existing stores still run, but the platform is no longer being developed and Zilver CMS's own domain now hosts a CMS comparison site. New features, connections and integrations are not coming. So the practical question is not whether you move, but when, and whether you pick that moment yourself.
As long as your store runs, your data can come out: we retrieve products, customers and order history via the database or the API, clean them up where needed and place them in Shopify in a structured way. Beforehand we record per data type what moves and in what form; afterwards we walk through it together.
Custom code never moves literally, the functionality does. We map what your store actually uses, from a product configurator to customer-specific pricing and the link with your bookkeeping or ERP, and rebuild that on the Shopify APIs. What nobody uses any more we consciously leave behind; that saves money and maintenance.
Not if it is done properly, and for a Zilver store this is the most valuable part: your positions were often built up over years. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to the right new page, including category and content pages, and we guard your rankings around the launch.
Yes, your current store keeps running throughout the build; you do not miss a day of revenue. The actual switch is planned at a quiet moment and takes a few minutes at most. Just before launch we collect the latest orders and customers once more.
Count on eight to twelve weeks: a Zilver store is rarely small, and the custom work and integrations set the pace more than the number of products. After the audit you get a fixed schedule with milestones, so you know exactly where you stand.
A regular migration costs € 8,000 to € 20,000; complex projects with B2B, an ERP integration or a lot of custom work run up to € 60,000. Because of their custom work, Zilver stores sit in that second band more often. After the audit the price is fixed, with no surprises afterwards.
Because waiting narrows your options. The longer a platform stands still, the scarcer the people who know it, the more fragile the connections with payment providers and carriers, and the bigger the chance you eventually have to move under time pressure. Migrating at your own moment is cheaper and calmer than at a forced one.

A real browser loads your site the way a visitor does. Everything you see next is measured on your site, not estimated.
A platform without a future
The clearest signal comes from the platform itself: Zilver CMS's own domain now hosts a CMS comparison site, and at integration partners the Zilver pages are disappearing one by one. For your store that means no new features, no new connections and an ever smaller circle of people who know the system. Your shop runs fine today; the question is how long you want to build on a foundation that stands still.
What moves in the migration?
Products with variants and images, categories as collections, customer accounts, order history and content pages. Your domain and your reviews simply move along. The custom work is mapped separately: what your store actually uses we rebuild on the Shopify APIs.
Cost and timeline
After the audit you receive a fixed quote and a schedule, usually eight to twelve weeks. Want to know where your current store stands first? Have it analysed for free: you get a report with improvements within two minutes.
