Store Apps
Your own app for iOS and Android, connected to your Shopify store.

An app is not a smaller website. It earns its place when you need push notifications, offline use, or a relationship with customers that a browser tab cannot carry: loyalty, community, repeat ordering.
We build native apps for iOS and Android from one codebase, connected to your Shopify store. For Communify that meant brand, app and backend as one project.
Why Codemaker-S?
One codebase, both platforms
iOS and Android from a single codebase, so you are not paying twice for the same feature or waiting twice for a fix.
Connected to your store
Catalogue, orders and customer accounts stay in Shopify. The app is a different front door, not a second system to maintain.
Updates without a store release
Most changes go live without waiting on App Store review, which is the difference between shipping weekly and shipping quarterly.
“We hugely appreciate how hard Codemaker-S worked. They were still going on the Sunday before our launch to get the last details right. After going live they even came round to celebrate, with VA Imaging cake and champagne.”
How we work
Concept & scope
Audience / Features / Business case
We work out what the app has to do that your store cannot, and whether that justifies building one. Sometimes the answer is no.
Design & build
UX / Development / Shopify
We design and build the app for both platforms from one codebase, connected to your Shopify catalogue and accounts.
Launch & iterate
Stores / Analytics / Updates
We handle the App Store and Google Play submissions, then keep measuring and shipping improvements after launch.
Frequently asked questions
You probably have questions about Shopify as a platform, or about how we work at Codemaker-S. Not finding yours? Give us a call, or leave your details and we'll come back to you.
A native app for iOS and Android costs between € 15,000 and € 60,000, entirely depending on functionality. An ordering app on your Shopify catalogue sits at the lower end; community, push notifications and loyalty push it up. We build both platforms from one codebase, so you do not pay twice.
A Shopify app runs inside Shopify and extends your store or admin; that starts around € 5,000. A native app is your own app in the App Store and Google Play, with push notifications and offline use, and costs between € 15,000 and € 60,000. They are not mutually exclusive.
When you need something a browser cannot do: push notifications, offline use, or a repeat relationship such as loyalty or B2B reordering. If your use case is "customers browse and buy", a fast mobile store is usually the better investment. We will say so.
Yes. Catalogue, pricing, stock and customer accounts stay in Shopify and the app reads from it, so you manage one system. Orders placed in the app land in the same admin as everything else.
Native, from one codebase that also targets web where that is useful. That gives you real push notifications and store presence without maintaining two separate builds. For Communify the same codebase runs on iOS, Android and web.
Most changes ship without an App Store release, so improvements go live in days rather than after a review cycle. Larger changes that touch native capabilities still go through the stores; we handle those submissions.
Yes, including the store listings, screenshots and the review process for both platforms. Apple's review in particular has requirements that are easier to design for up front than to fix afterwards.

No credit card. No sales pitch. We look the way a customer does: we fill nothing in and order nothing.

A real browser loads your site the way a visitor does. Everything you see next is measured on your site, not estimated.
When an app earns its place
The honest test: name something the app does that a fast mobile store cannot. Push notifications, offline use, loyalty that lives in someone's pocket, B2B reordering in two taps. If nothing on that list applies, the money is better spent on your store.
One codebase, two platforms
Building iOS and Android separately means paying twice and fixing everything twice. We use a single codebase that ships to both, which is why Communify could launch on iOS, Android and web at the same time with a small team.
